PERSONAL PROPERTY RENDITION INFORMATION

Business owners must render taxable personal property by April 15.

If you own personal property used to produce income, you are required to file a rendition with the Appraisal District by April 15. A rendition is a report listing all taxable, income-producing personal property that you owned or controlled as of January 1 of the current year. This includes business inventory and equipment.

New for 2026:
Business personal property accounts that are rendered will receive a $125,000 exemption. If you do not render, you will not automatically receive the exemption if your value is under $125,000.  In addition, if your business personal property has a market value of $125,000 or less and you select the final box in Section 5 of the rendition form, you will not be required to file a Business Personal Property Rendition in future years—unless your market value later exceeds $125,000.  At that time, you will be notified by the appraisal district.

Please note that failure to file, or filing a rendition late or incomplete, may result in penalties ranging from 10% to 50%.

Completed rendition forms may be emailed to mjuda@orangecad.net.

REQUESTING AN EXTENSION

If additional time is needed, you may submit a written request for an extension on or before April 15. Approved requests will receive an automatic extension to May 15.
